Guessing Game

Say Pah-School three times fast. Just do it. It's like that game, Mad Gab, I think it's called. You try to guess a word based on poorly spelled syllables.

Pah-School

Pah-School

Pah-School

Have you got it? Well, if you're feeling a bit frustrated and haven't quite figured it out, welcome to my world all day today!

Grace was demanding Pah-School all day, and it wasn't until 7:00 tonight that I finally figured out what she wanted. Any guesses?

A POPSICLE!!!

After all her patience, I had to indulge her, even though she had already had her bath and I wasn't even sure we had popsicles. So, I raided the freezer until I found a few lone Pah-Schools in the bottom drawer and, boy, did we enjoy!

Beautiful AND Talented

Grace loves to swim, and is actually getting pretty good at it. She can swim about five feet, but as soon as she comes up for a breath, she sinks. We're working on it!

Lofty aspirations

While in Hawaii a few weeks ago, we were traveling in the car with my nephews talking about what they want to be when they grow up.  They were going on and on about being a pro baseball player or scout when Gracie spoke up from the backseat and declared, "I want to be a HOTDOG!!!"  She was so excited and so sure of herself.  We couldn't help but laugh!  I would've expected a princess or Hannah Montana... but a hotdog?!?

Oh, well, there's always hope for the next one.

Fab Fourth

We spent the long weekend with some fabulous friends, the Kapci's, in Prescott.  It was an awesome time, despite the fact that Grace got way too little sleep and was a bit of a cranky-pants.

Turns out the Kapci's have a similar attitude towards food as my dad's family.  There was lots of it, and everything was amazing!  There was this monkey bread that was like nothing I have ever seen before.  Imagine the best thing you have ever eaten and then multiply it by ten.  Or twenty.  I thought about asking for the recipe, but I witnessed Amanda's mom making it, and I can't even go there.  It's a work of art.

We spent most of the weekend playing with the girls, at one point there were five little girls under 4!  So much fun, and of course, so much drama- most of which was instigated by my sweet child.  She had a blast and loved the fireworks.  Thanks to Amanda's dad, we had the best fireworks spot on earth.  I know I tend to exaggerate a bit, but this is no lie!  We were on top of a huge hill overlooking the Prescott valley and were far enough away that the girls weren't scared.  It was perfect!

Of course, Kevin took a million pictures, so I'll share a few:

I'm thanking God for freedom, family, and friends this fourth!!!
